Saying goodbye with a heavy heart đź’”

I have been thinking for a long time about whether to write you this email or not.

After 29 consecutive issues, season 2 of The Maker Journey is over.

I'm dropping it.

Over the past few months, I've spread myself too thin with all the ongoing projects: this newsletter, two social media, and two businesses to bootstrap.

Life has obviously taken its toll. More often than not, it's been a miracle to find time to cook or clean the house, let alone see friends.

And I need a break.

I mulled over for a while about changing the email format to keep it going, but the truth is, I would still have to catch my breath sooner or later.

It's far from an easy decision—believe me.

To be completely honest with you, as I've always been, I have money troubles to take care of. This journey is not yet sustainable, and it's a fucking problem.

How long can I carry it on?

I don't know, but focusing on sharing learnings and updates would distract me too much. Hence, I'll need to sharpen my priorities for a while.

If you allow this metaphor, it's like trimming dead or damaged leaves from a plant to stimulate growth in other parts.

In this case, it's about mental bandwidth. I need all the energy and resources to turn it around.

One month, two months—who knows how long it will take me to settle down and recover financially.

Thus, this goodbye.

Think of it like a season 3 in the making.

Take care.

Mattia out (for now).

PS: I might send casual emails when something interesting comes out.

BlackTwist $3.7k pre-sale

Forty days. The time it took me to realize that we did a great job. I'm talking about BlackTwist's launch. It went live on July 1st, and we spent the following weeks shipping features and improvements. During this time, we've also added five new customers, even though one already churned because of inactivity on Threads. But what amazes me is what we did before the launch. Today, I want to walk you through the strategies and insights into how we made $3.7k in pre-sale for a tool that had yet...

I challenge you to say otherwise. Relaxing under the porch after a delicious lunch is one of the best things in life. Especially when mountains draw shapes on the landscape and cut clouds high in the sky. A true paradise. Freddy, my uncle's dog, glazes over a few times to ensure the situation is under control. Nobody can get near the hammock without Freddy's approval. Everything is so perfect here. But I'm not happy. I'm staring at the horizon, wondering why a few days off turned into weeks...

It's here! You've seen it coming. You've read it since the beginning, from the idea stage onward, even if only for a few bites here and there. And after sweating dozens of shirts, let me share this joy with you 🤩 Alohi is live and available for everyone Alohi's landing page preview You know, I expected it to take only a few months… It took me six to finally ship it. 💡 In January, the idea popped up. 🔍 February has been the perfect time for exploration before the work. 👨💻 This March, I learned...
